HR managers will play an important role in recruiting vital staff into rail organisations to deliver rail projects across the next 10 years. You could find yourself leading a HR team in an engineering firm that supports our rail network. Or you could land a role as a HR manager with a state government department that is spearheading major metro and regional rail projects.
What is the work environment like?
You’ll work in an office, usually in a team with other HR and employee relations professionals. Sometimes you’ll be at your desk, perhaps drafting a new employee policy or planning new training. You may also be required to run workshops and training sessions. You can find HR roles all around Australia. Most jobs are in cities and towns. Some are in remote areas.
